Don't recognise any of that at all.

Del,

Turbo's go if you don't use them.
Engine was updated as well as increased CC's Most of the issues on the later ones are sorted.
Gearbox - nope, even the 6speed was the later 6HP28 rather than the 26 in the early D3's (I think the 28 went in the D3 from about 2008?)

And the gearbox's are actually pretty reliable if they are looked after and the oils changed properly.

I'm told Highways England as they are now will be running Berlingo vans soon.

No it's not a joke, it's all in a cost saving exercise

I have a lot more respect for the Wombles now that I've stopped and spoken to them, but I'd still pay to watch them try and retrieve a 44 tonne lorry with a Berlingo van!

May we assume that, if they are running Citroens, they'll be shortening their change cycle from 3 years / 300,000 miles to somewhere nearer to 2 1/2 months / 20,000 miles? That'll be a lot of landfill....

They also have a strain gauge on the disco's/shoguns and have been stopped pulling LGV's

Basically they will turn up, cone off and wait at scene for a recovery operator when the sh-t happens on the motorways.

But Berlingo's! No one's ever going to take them seriously! It'd be like turning up in a Renault 4....

Then there's the small matter of keeping the roads clear and the emergency services running when the rubbish weather arrives. But then, when I think of snow drifts and floods, I often think "Citroen Berlingo van". So, that's alright then!

Think someone is pulling your leg. They will not last amonth before they fall apart. We are light on cars and had a C8 for 16 months it looked like it was 10 years old and had had 2 turbos and major engiine work, 3 front seat replacments and wanted another and one of the rear seats had been replaced as well.
