LR3 Sunroof drainage tubes – preventative maintenance |
|
Hello from across the pond. I know that this subject has been discussed in length on here before, but where are the actual drainage tubes? Does anyone have a picture or illustration of the tubes? And their location? I searched on the site and cannot find pictures or a detailed description. Sorry if I missed the thread on this earlier.

Don't fully know, but if you open the sunroof and look along the front of the opening at the bottom corners you will see some holes which I guess are the drainage holes. I know the tubes feed behind the A-pillar interior trim (easy to remove - screw is behind the plastic cover marked airbag - but fiddly to put back on). Never gone beyond that myself, but when I had mine unblocked (under warranty) the dealer mentioned having to remove the wheel arch liner so I guess they terminate behind there. If yours are blocked then argue for the job to be done under warranty - it is a common fault and often caused by the tubes not being routed properly in the first place.
In terms of stopping them from getting blocked, my garage said avoid parking anywhere near pine trees!
