Air Compressor / 2nd Battery Compartment.
I have been thinking about fitting a small air compressor in the spare 2nd battery area (under the plastic cover). I have read a few posts quite a while back but can't find them. Can anyone point me in the right direction, or show me any pictures?
In fact I would be interested in, what other people have used this space for?Arctic Frost Discovery 3 TDV6 SE, Active Rear Diff, Adaptive Head Lights, Tow Pack, Ebony Leather, Roof Rails, Mantec Guard. It won't keep the Export cold - but if you had a second battery installed then you could run a fridge to keep it cold 8)
A rotating / flashing amber beacon is legal when used on a vehicle travelling at less than 25mph or used for vehicle recovery / towing operations

Don't worry the beacon is placed under the cover then the bonnet is closed so the beacon can't be seen by the rossers In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
wouldn't it be possible to tap into the existing compressor and or cylinder for inflating things? i'm sure some techy whizz on this board could come up with something, then you could save the space for something useful, like beer/crisps/small animals etc!

looked into it a while ago, the compressor is capable of the pressure but not necassarily the volume as it will already be working hard in an offroad environment, if you want to give it a go, there is a blanking plug at the front of the air receiver

There goes my weekend. My T-Max compressor turned up last night as I was on my way out to a Levellers gig (I'm a walking oxymoron, the cider-drinking capitalist D3-driving crusty) and was toying with mounting it in the battery bay..... and I still have to fit my ASFIR diff and gearbox guards. And squeeze in a 35 mile training ride to improve chances of completing the 50 mile sponsored ride I'm doing on the 6th of May http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic11042.html
Chop-chop, busy-busy, work-work, bang-bang......I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
