Just had a performance re-map done. |
|
Very satisfied.
I had it done yesterday morning and I wasn't too impressed at first, but as the day went on it seemed to get better and better. It's my guess that the adaptive gearbox had to re-learn the driving style.
Now I keep finding excuses to go out for a spin.
What's that dear? You've run out of milk......slam....Vroom.

I thought I'd follow up.
My MPG has dropped by 1 or 2 to 21-22MPG.
There is a puff of smoke when full throttle is applied, but I like the way it drives so I'm going to live with it.

I went with Turbochip ! I deliberately just pour the milk down the sink and then ask the missus if we need milk! I have definetly notice better MPG about 2 - 3 mpg. No smoke either.

Don't worry about the mpg, it will get better when the brain comes to
terms with whats been done to it, and you stop flooring it
I had Autologic done mine read 11mpg for about 20mls. If it's there
use it and enjoy

I do keep flooring it!
It doesn't make the difference I was expecting, or maybe I'm just used to it.

It is not unusual for any re-map to smoke under acceleration 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I do with a TC remap, but not significant enough to raise concern.

I think TFC said the smoke was something to do with fuel rail pressure and overfuelling on full throttle. I think the only way to lose the smoke is to have the car tuned on a rolling road. £££££££!
Be happy, I know that 6 months after my TC remap I'm still happy with the result, smoke or not.
