Picked up my D3 from dealers after two (2) days of work. Dealer installed air compressor #3 in five (5) years of ownership. I have renamed my D3 "Black Limon". .

Did they do a thorough check for leaks? "A society that will trade a little liberty for a little order will lose both- and deserve neither"

I'm not sure if they checked for leaks or not. They were also trying to fix a rear seat that has been malfunctioning for 3 years, and rear panel noise that is becoming maniacal. All I know is that when I drove the black lemon home she didn't chirp up a suspension fault so that made me happy. .

Could be leaking somewhere or one of the valve blocks is faulty. Replacing the compressor would be just fixing the symptom and not the cause. "A society that will trade a little liberty for a little order will lose both- and deserve neither"

My D3 was pressed it to work for a living Monday as my van broke down ... suspect EGR valve so not exclusive to Land rover. Loved driving it round for the day but thank God work sorted a replacement as yesterday went to west brom, up to Macclesfield ,down and across to Norwich, back up to Kings Lynn and then home to Tamworth. Dont think 28p a mile would have covered the derv in the disco as was driving like I stole it

Got it back from the body shop following my little indiscretion with a Volvo a couple of weeks ago... (well, SWMBO went to get it whilst I was away).
Nice shiny new back bumper and newly sprayed near-side rear panel...just need to drive into 5 more Volvo's as it seems to be a good way of getting rid of bramble rash... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

| On Thursday, drove the D3, then had a trip to Skeg in a DC3! |
|
Drove to Conningsby in the D3, for a meeting and a tour around the BBMF and the Typhoons, then was taken up for a ride in A DC3
Still grinning this morning!
An incredible experience, and likely to be one I am ever likely to beat!
The experience was further enhanced because I was sat opposite a WW2 Veteran, a flight engineer with over 80 missions under his belt who was visiting to have a look round the BBMF with his family, when the BBMF OC Squadron Leader Ian Smith told him he was to come up with us, he had the largest smile on his face, which never left all the time we were up!
On a more serious note, if anyone is keen to support the work of the BBMF financially, the Lincolnshire's Lancaster Association is a fundraising charity that I am a member of where the proceeds raised go straight to the flight, by financing projects the RAF budget will not run to, such as a turret for the Lancaster, wings and rebuild work for a Spitfire, and many more.
