you must have arms like Mr.Tickle.
is the crank fail due to overlapping shells?It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

how did you manage to get the bolts out and the gearbox detached. it was a difficult enough job when I had the body off - id never have got the leverage with the body on!!Duncan

Not that I could see but judging by the state of the engine oil it's not been very loved!
So while it's out I'm having the turbo reconditioned (if I can find someone to do it).

Argh that's the ladder section from to bottom of the block which I had to remove in situ to smash the out of the crank to enable me to get the rear section of the crank to rotate so I could undo the bolts on the flexi plate
The engine I have is an exchange unit so sadly they want it back!!!!

Not sure you can "recondition" the turbo, Borg Warner will not release the software even to their approved retailers.....and it is of course an electronic turbo...so ebay it or replace it my friend.
