WILL 2005 DISCO 3 SE 18" WHEELS FIT 2005 HSE for off roading
Hello.
I tried to find steel wheels for a disco 3 hse 2005.the only wheels i can find are compomotive wheels which are way out of my budget. don't get me wrong id love a set. So then i thought i could but some 2005 se alloys and get them painted grey or black and then fit some nice big mud tyres.
Can i have your thoughts please?
Will disco 3 2005 se alloys ( see pic) replace my 19" hse alloys? i am worried there might be a difference in calliper size.

Yes. Straight fit, no fiddling, fettling or worrying.

Thanks DSL,
Why is it so difficult to get 17" or 18" steel wheels for a disco 3?

Because with 2nd hand alloys cheap as chips there’s no market for them so no one makes them.

As Del says - you will get a set of 18 or 17 inch alloys for £150 or less.
I've also bought brand new take off 19 inch for £650. Second hand wheel/tyre seems always to be a buyers market.

I wouldn't bother with Compomotives on a D3. The only reason I've got a set is because they'll fit on a 3.O D4 and LR 18" rims don't.
Even with a V8 brake upgrade on a D3, LR 18" rims still fit.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

The off road tyres for 18's are quite limited you are better off with 17's or 19's as there are more make's of tyres available Discovery 3 se gone

You can fit 265/60/18 tyres on them, which gives you access to some serious off road rubber, from the likes of Cooper and BFG. Although I get everywhere on Pirelli ATR's. I just slide around a bit more in heavy mud 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Yes, unless you've upgraded the brakes.

V8 brakes are bigger & better. Which is strange as it’s limited to the same top speed as TDV6s.
