[Wanted] Small metal lathe
Anyone got smallish metal lathe? maybe Myford Super 7 size with screw cutting etc? North West preferred.

Good super 7's are pricey, especially if you want the screw cutting gearbox rather than setting up the change wheels.
It depends on what you are looking to do as to what type, and cost, of lathe you could look at.
There are new ones available with better speed control, with screw cutting capacity etc for less, but most are Metric as standard, some have Imperial conversion kits.
ML 7's cheaper, but again depends what your needs are.
There is a good Myford Lathes Facebook group that may yield advice.

Thanks for that, for how often I'd change pitches etc, change wheels would be ok for me. Just didn't really fancy a modern Clarke lathe so would prefer Myford, Boxford etc. Mostly for just playing with and a bit of air rifle work, bits for my boat etc etc.

A friend of mine has a Super 7 that will be for sale soon. I'll ask where he's got to, and how much he wants. Richard

He's not ready to let it go yet. I will let you know when he is. If you are still in the market by then it might work out.Richard
