Fair play to the comment from the Mother of the t t sorry cyclist:

I had no idea my child was this stupid
What isn't mentioned is the emotional affect it may have had on the driver/occupants of the car, nor the cost to them for repairing any damage...something I assume they may well have to cover themselves!!!Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! This should be in the other thread going; "why you need a web-cam" or whatever it's called.
What an idiot - at least sounds like his mother took the right view rather than the usual howls of "our poor Wayne assaulted by car driver" you usually get.....

For the sake of humanity (and from a Darwin's Law POV), perhaps this should have been the close-up pic!!!

Fwiw, she's a friend of a friend on FB, and she originally posted the video on there and replied to one person to confirm she was footing the repair bill. Sadly the BBC didn't bother to include this part in their article.
Seems her son could learn a thing or two from his Mum! If only sons would listen to their parents!!!!! Fair enough - but she won't be covering the cost of the raised insurance premiums that the driver (and the rest of us) will now face because of the little FXXKWIT and his ilk - mind you this degree of stupidity is not much removed on the scale from the FXXKWITS (probably the same ones) who think its OK to ride around in the dark without lights or visible clothing - only saw one little last night because he'd forgotten to take his pedal reflectors off.
There's even a paperboy round our way who does the same - if you don't get the paper one day you'll know why!

Whilst I agree the boy is a moron but that video gave the impression the lad was on the wrong side long enough for the car to stop before colliding? Not that I’m blaming the driver as the kid clearly is a pillock who hopefully has learnt a lesson.
