removal of tow bar (removable type) |

Hi All
i'm trying to remove my removable tow bar.
Its been on there for about 4 years and never had the key in it
i need to remove it and today i squirted wd40 in the lock
after about 20 minutes i can now get the key in but it won't turn
can anyone message me the how to please as i know it can not be posted for obvious reasons

If you buy yourself a new lock the instructions will become clear.
Other than that it’s to risky to tell.

Sorry to hear your bad news, I had mine stuck on but only on for a few months, so regular WD40 and a big mallet eventually did the trick
I now never keep mine on, it's always taken off once used Iggy/Ieuan

Thanks, but as a site member for over 6 years I thought someone might believe I’m genuine!!

can't help as don't have the towbar to try it on but current climate regarding thefts is making people very cautious.

Persevere with squirting WD 40 into the lock, it freed mine off after a few days (on a fixed towbar that had been fitted for a couple of years) D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. RRS front lower suspension arms. New suspension compressor/ relay. New Denso alternator. CuNifer rear brake pipes. New GKN rear propshaft. New HPFP belt & tensioner. New A/C Condenser.NO WARRANTY for many many years.
