Suspension fault but cleared now.

After driving 150 miles last night and then another 100 today I got a suspension error message but no change in height. Had been stuck in slow traffic for about 45 mins when it happened. After stopping at services for about half hour restarted and all ok and error cleared. Has not reappeared after another hour or so plus 50 odd miles. Only thing I have noticed is the brake lights seem to have a half to one second delay in turning off when releasing the brake pedal. Could the use in the traffic cause the pedal switch to cause this error and could I remove, clean and refit switch or is it better to just replace. Car has had led rear lights fitted so no filament bulbs.
