One of my work colleagues lives in Canada - and it seems to go from 30+ in the summer to around freezing in a couple of weeks, then drops to -30 quite often - and with wind chill -50 is not uncommon.
He was saying someone tried to get his car off the drive - and took off most of his gloves (3 pairs is normal) and got frostbite and when he pulled off the last thin pair of gloves, his fingers were left behind Mark.

Seems like someone took all the cold weather from southern Finland this year and moved it to UK. we’ve had an extended autumn, really, with temperatures at worst -3 or -4 and snow staying on the ground for a few days only. Right now, outside, it looks like any given day in October with rain.
