A great bit of kit from Tow-Trust the removable one was great but I'm now towing a big Ifor Williams Box trailer on a regular basis and I found the hitch too low with the removable one so a multi height fixed was required I previously had a LR fixed but after some research the tow-trust got my vote and I'm very pleased with the quality of the kit.
I'll be putting the removable one for sale soonRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

Had one on mine for a few months now, just the job
Very happy with its construction, ease of fitting and I'm sure once it's hitched up it won't disappoint eitherRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

Use the LR fixed one with fully laden Ifor livestock trailer often just shy of the 3.5t max and dont see what problem is, its rock solid and does the job, personally I believe that any fixed ones that have failed have been down to fitting error or fitting into a socket that if checked would fail the LR tests.==================================

I recently fitted one to my RRS. Excellent bit of kit and has silenced the little thuds etc. when towing. Mine was a pig to fit but only because the chassis mounting bolts had been removed and messed about with by a previous owner. With good-to-go chassis fixings it would have been a half hour job to fit.
On my RRS, which tows slightly lower than the Disco I think, I've found the ball is a bit higher than the removable one so the horse box runs with the axles more evenly loaded.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Use the LR fixed one
Was going to get the LR one but SWMBO thought it looked like a snow plough and vetoed it. Happy with the Tow Trust item which was a similar price, I think.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Looks better on mine as it obscures the LPG tank and it was free from LR ==================================

I'm not saying there was anything wrong with the LR one other than it looked huge and agricultural and still relied on the lock holding the pin in place, the Tow-trust one is lower profile and in my opinion better made and at £168 a bargain again only my opinionRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

I've had the LR one on the last 2 cars, so over 10 years, the tow trust one looks much better and seems to do the same job.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Very very pleased with my Tow Trust one - wish I’d done sooner. Mine was similarly awkward as the threaded inserts in the chassis had moved on in side and didn’t line up with the chassis hole. I imagine a later d3/4 without the inserts would be loads easier!2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +
