United Kingdom 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3
Dual mass and MPG

Evening all

Does anyone know?

will a dodgy Dual mass flywheel give me crap MPG

car drives fine apart from what I think is the dual mass rattling it's a: censored: e off and a slight vibration/hesitation when booted
but the mpg on the lie-ometer is reading anything from 9-12mpg

I know they aren't accurate anyway but its usually at least in the low 20`s

it's having dual mass etc done v soon but I am just curious as to whether there is another problem also

Cheers

Andy

It's not clear to me how a DMF could cause low mpg but you've got a bigger issue if the lieometer's normally in the 20s. On a run my old manual D3 would show 30+...
