Fault code help

Hi all I am new to the forum. I have been trawling the web for answers to the following faults. I have a 56 plate D3 Tdv6 and have been having limp home mode problems. Some days it happens some days it doesn’t . I have a Gap iid tool and reset all codes but these are the offending ones that keep coming back when I have the problems and help will be most appreciated.

Try changing the fuel filter first.

Mine occasionally threw a hissy fit, especially when giving the old girl the beans and had similar issues, a new filter sorted it.

That's a cause for concern as the rail pressure is controlled by the PCV on the high pressure pump. I would switch to live data values under TDV6 and graph RPM, Fuel Rail Pressure, Pressue Control and Voume Contol while attempting to recreate the fault.

Thanks for your reply I checked the live values and it is showing high although the injector pressures are ok. It’s also should be said that other faults are jumping up like interior light body control etc and I just noticed battery is only showing 11.8 volts when sitting and 14.8 when running. Those values you mentioned and I’m a novice to the gap tool I can see them how do I save what I am seeing

There's a record button that will log the values. Alternatively take a screenshot of the graph when the fault occurs.

Hi I hope I’ve done this correctly

Clear the fault and then set the IID to record the values again during a road test. The aim is to capture the event that sets the fault code. Assuming the fault doesn't appear on startup? Do you recall the operating conditions when the fault typically occurs?

The rail pressure sensor or its wiring could be the culprit, so hopefully the serial data log from the IID will show an anomaly.

This is a known good capture during a cold start. Rail pressure reaches 34,700 kPa before dropping to normal figures for a slightly elevated idle speed.

your graph looks so much smoother and my fuel pressure peaks a lot higher but then drops
