Eu2 or eu4
How do you identify if ur engine is eu2 or eu4 cheers it's a 2005 2.7 tdv6

All D3s we're 3 or 4, never 2. For EURO3 the VIN ends 5A123456 (05MY) or 6A123456 (06MY), for EURO4 & onward 7A, 8A, 9A. 2005 would deffo be 3, whether 05MY or 06MY . Simples.

Cheers pal I'm looking to bypass the egr coolers could I just straight forward join the pipes or is there a thermostat on the coolers that I need to take in to consideration?????

That's waaaaaay beyond my techie paygrade. Search on "blank EGRs", about 3 weeks of reading on the subject.
