Some are, some aren't. Mine lasted 166k miles, some have failed at lower miles, some at higher, some done intergalactic miles. It's a complete lottery.
And before someone says they don't if the cars are properly maintained, that's complete bolldox. Mine wanted for nothing, if it needed done it got done and lots done preventatively. In the last few years it had interim oil changes as well.
You pays yer money and takes yer chance.
