Stupid drivers carpet slips
Hi guys,
Finally got my '58 plate Stornaway Grey D3 this week (love it!).
Silly little thing, but the drivers footwell carpet it slipping away and the retaining clip thing that is present on the passenger side, is missing on the drivers side.
Is there any remedy for this??
Thanks!

When I bought a new set of carpet mats they came with a set of new clips to fix to the car, so they are retro fitable, not sure if you can purchase them separately though. Unfortunately I think I threw mine away as just used the ones already on the car but will have a look tonight for you.
So the good news is you can just fit a new one, bad news is how to get hold of one.
In the meantime why not just swap yours over...

I bought a set on ebay. I think it is a LR part.

If you are struggling - they sell those large Velcro pads that most cars use in Halfrauds......
Only a couple of quid but do the job on holding them in place
SP Mods so far:
New wheel winch
Instrument upgrade (clock on dash)
D4 fascia + Garmin nuvi
LED side light, interior etc
New FL2 rear wheel arch seals

I believe the early D3 part is available as a spare , possibly used on other models as well including Ford

Throw the carpet away and fit a genuine rubber mat, far more practical and easier to clean It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
