EGR Fault Code assessment |
|
Before I buy a pair of EGR valves and roll up my sleeves ( and prepare for a day of unprecedented bad language) to replace the EGR valves on our 2007 (registered 2010!) Disco 3, can someone please confirm this is my best option. I have an iCarsoft fault code reader which comes up with the following:
'P045C EGR B control circuit - Low
P045D EGR B control circuit - High
P0489 EGR control - circuit Low
P1335 EGr position sensor stop performance'
We don't appear to have any black smoke or noticeable loss of power.
I believe that being the later engine, I'm not able to simply blank off the EGRV's.
Chasssis number is...A177A435***
Please also confirm the parts numbers I require are:
LR018323 LH & LR018324 RH
Also - please advise a good source to buy them from if needed.
I did try a can of EGR valve cleaner - but to not avail. ( I did say the the guy in Halfrauds at the time, that I'm probably wasting ten quid !)
Any advise and tips welcomed.
PS - I have just searched a little further and read that the 'B' circuit referes to the LH EGR valve if viewed from the divers seat (i.e. under the battery tray on a RHD UK vehicle). Confirmation welcomed!
Thanks.

I am currently driving a 2008 d3 in which I blanked the EGRs. No trouble in 600kms. I was also led to believe you needed software update or the engine light would come on

looks like you only need to replace 1 side.
If you have an IID there is a patch available at a cost.
