Discovery 4 lower front suspension arm bushes

Hello, my Disco 4 with 20000 miles on the clock has just failed it’s MOT at Quick Fit! Reason front lower suspension Bushes; to much play he said, this cars never been off road & and is better looked after than myself; had the arms removed and they looked fine, so took them to my local Farrell Land Rover for 1 of their mechanics to look at! His verdict’ they’ve never had to replace any and if they are not leaking or make a knocking when braking, which they weren’t and didn’t; there’s nothing wrong with them! He said that there’s fluid in them and are ment to move freely, I’ve got the feeling some of these guys who do MOTs don’t no this! Anybody else had this problem? + he wonted £600 to replace the arms at quick fit Sad

Farrell LR saying they don’t ever have to change them Laughing that’s lie right there.
They’re as common as muck for showing play in the front arms due to the weight of the vehicle and how it’s driven.

I think what he ment was on a vehicle with 20000 miles thats only done 1500 since last years MOT, thats never towed anyting, been to 3 other independent Land Rover specialists and they all say the same, never on a vehicle with that mileage! The equipment at quick fit shook the car like a jelly! Like you said surely they have to take the weight of it into consideration! Looking in to getting a independent specialist to properly look at these bushes! NOT HAPPY
