Auto gearbox and revs holding
Is this the caratistics of a auto box
As if I’m driving at say 30mph and let go of the accelerator the revs will hold at 1500 for about 5 seconds then I feel the engine drop before they start to drop
If I’m on a motorway going 70 and let go of the accelerator the revs will stay at 2000 for
And age before dropping just seems like it’s more pressure on the breaks as they seem well hot after a ride out
Thanks pepsDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

I’ve not notic3d this. Think I would but I’ll keep an eye out
I have got this, tho, as I’ve been tracking gearbox and revs etc.
X axis is time is seconds I think
Red line is rpm with green the gear; high point is 6th

I’m
Just wondering if it was the crap remap I had done carnt remember if it done this before
Been reading its engine breaking though as or you let go of the accelerator it holds the revs waiting for you to reapply the throttle as in more efficient than if the revs had dropped to 800Disco 3 gone but not forGotten

Well' changing my screen shot to a similar scale on the X

But then expanding out a bit to match where your gearbox downshifts

So, don’t know. Looks like yours downshifts earlier, as transmission output shaft speed starts to drop earlier,so maybe that’s why engine revs seem to hold.
But, as these are autos, wont the engine revs stay high as the car is at speed / engine braking?

I don’t know
Doing some
More checks
If I’m sitting still in neutral and Rev it revs
Loverly
If I put in neutral and roll forward slightly the revs act different and hold a lot and don’t
Rev the same
Also when sitting still my turbo boost pressure acuator is showing 88%
And is always between 55 and 95 when drivingDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

Oh!
That’s interesting. OT but Any chance you could post a screen shot of your turbo numbers, and tell me which ECU software you got?
I don’t get any values for turbo boost actuator position %, I just get NA. Same with calculated load.

I take a screen shot later mate I did hear that u only get it on euro4 and above which mine is a 2009 58 plate
If u get a chance can u try some thing with the car running and in neutral rev it and should rev fine but if the car is running and rolling
in neutral see what it revs like then as mine is so different once the wheels are moving I have a hill near me so easy to doDisco 3 gone but not forGotten
