Jaaaaaaaaag S type 3.0 donor
I was behind a Jaaaaaag S type yesterday, this one had a 3.0 badge on the back. We hear a good bit re 2.7 lumps from said Jags going into D3s, would a 3.0 engine similarly go in a D4 in the event of the rare/frequent (delete according to taste) occurance of the crank snapping like a twiglett at a New Year's party.
I am assuming the Jag driver wasn't winding peeps up with the badge, he seemed a proper Jaguar driver with his driving gloves, flat cap and Harris Tweed jacket complete with geography teacher elbow patches.
I think the 3L was the V6 petrol not the diesel in the S-Type. If you want the 3.0L Diesel lump, it's in the XF from about the same time as they introduced the D4. I'm not sure on compatibility though.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

Ah, that would scupper my plan to conquer the universe. Didn't think re petrol.
And I'm I'm planning to not to need one, no space on the drive or in the garage to keep one on a what-if basis.

Been toying with the idea of a d3 buggy and a jag 3.0 twin turbo would be a giggle of a power plant.
Liking the idea.
