Constant live in fuse box? Possible to piggy back? |
|
Hi all,
V quick question - I'm currently running a tablet in my Disco 4 and wondered if instead of the battery only being charged on it when the ignition is on, whether it could charge all the time?
To stop the tablet battery running out, would it be possible to connect the USB to a constant live (i.e. when the car is off, it's still charging the tablet battery) - I'm assuming that it wouldn't drain the car battery as the tablet battery is small, and would stop charging when at 100%?
I've currently got it charging from a piggy back connector in the fuse box near the glove box - Happen to know if any of those are a constant live... and if not, how would I go about connecting a constant live?
Cheers,
Rob

FYI. Unused fues 18 / 28 / 29 / 33 are also permanet live. So use a piggback fuse, dont put a fues into the primary side of the piggyback fues holder, just put a fues in the piggyback output side and you will have a live feed

Does anyone know if the same situation exists on a D3? I.e. are the same fuse numbers potentially available and live? Looking to install radio and tablet with permanent live feeds.
Thanks
