Had a bit of work done this last 3 weeks.
Ian came out and did my mega flush-lovely job and very nice chap to boot
It was already booked in for timing belts, and asked them to look a "whoosing" noise at the same time. Oddly enough, the first drive after the mega flush the restricted performance come on
Anyway, in it went and had the belts done, and at the same time a cross over pipe leak was diagnosed, so that was done as well. Noy cheap those pipes (or fitting, its a tw*t of a job).
Picked it up, on the drive home bloody restricted performance came on again. Stopped, opened the bonnet and there was smoke coming out
Popped it back, diagnostics said O2 sensor. That had been unplugged hen the belts/crossover pipe was done, so the VERY nice chap said he would fix it, and I would pay the part price, no labour.
But he couldnt get the sensor out!!! Called me to say he might need to get a new exhaust section, at £450
Collected tonight, he had spend hours taking the exhaust off, managed to get the senor out, but had to drill the end out of the exhaust and then tap a new thread in. All done, and he STILL didnt charge me any labour.
The smoke was just oil etc burning off the new pipe.
So a huge thumbs up to Cotswold Motoring Services. Extremely professional, reasonable prices and moved lots of other jobs about to get me back on the road. I will be using them for services etc in the future. Thanks Mark
