Hard Reset Question

I presume a hard reset removes all the settings such as radio station presets and phone pairing etc?

Thanks in advance
Stuart

Exclamation It did remove the radio presets with mine but by pressing two radio buttons(can't remember which ones - think its on here or in manual) they all came back, it didn't affect my phone pairings at all Thumbs Up

Just went out to do this but the cables don't look like they'll reach across to be able to touch each other, so I'll have to use something to bridge the gap.
Looking around for info I discover the Powerful UK youtube video where they only remove the negative terminal. All the written instructions say remove both terminals?
What is the thinking on this?

I always took both of and used a spanner or similar to bridge the gap. Just being careful I didnt touch the battery itself.

I did connect both +ve & -ve and used a multimeter cable between the two battery clamps.
