Exhaust corrosion
Hello All,
I have got a Disco 4 on a 16 plate with 30,000 miles on the clock.
When I was under the car I spotted 2 of the exhaust flanges were corroding badly compared to the rest of the exhaust.
I also got under a vehicle of a similar age and the corrosion in no way near as bad.
I raised this concern with LR but the warranty department have rejected a claim saying it is "wear and tear".
I wanted to get the opinion of guys on here. I'll attach a pic of my car exhaust and the other one I compared it too.

Small hammer, tap the worst off and dont worry about it, I would say the flanges are bare mild steel whereas the pipe itself is better quality, not stainless but some sort of halfway house.
Iirc rust looks worse than what it is, ie if you lose say 1mm thickness of steel, that 1mm of steel turns into 4mm of rust.
