Cost of belts change on 2015 Disco4
Hi all. In talks to purchase a beautiful Disco4 hse 2015 with 100k miles on the clock
The 2 belts haven’t been changed as yet. Before I take the plunge I’m looking into negotiate
A price drop in let me get the 2 belts done. What’s the approx cost of this job ?
Thanks

Thanks guys. Just spoke to a indie garage to get quote for it. He also made me aware of the major issues
With crank shaft failure on 3lt tdv6 engine. It’s something I knew nothing about. It’s really put me buying it now.

Lenlec, there are lots of posts on this forum about the crank shaft failure.
There are also lots of posts from members who have (touch wood) not been affected.
It seems to be pretty much a lottery, if you are lucky your crank will keep going forever - there will however be lots of others things that she will want you to spend your money on Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector

LR fixed price servicing for £720 ish if its still under a LR warranty. But be aware that although they say they do they possibly don't change all the belts
Other than that a decent indy with small hands to avoid the body off will be about £650 - £1200.
and don't be put off by snapped crankshaft stories, the numbers are very low considering how many have been sold, just get a decent warranty (Warranty direct seem to be the best ones to cover everything)2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

I'd suggest you wait until after July 4th as you will then be able to stay overnight in a travelodge/premier inn/whatever your budget is.
there is a TL about 3 minutes walk away from Mikes base (but local eating options are crap, even for Dundee !); PI is a bit furtherCurrently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

If you want someone to take your car up there I'm heading up next week and could bring it back the following week, I'd lend you my D3 as a loaner I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
