On my 7 years of ownership of my 2005 D3 V8 SE

My 2005 D3/LR3 V8 SE has been a great reliable truck for the past 7 years. The best vehicle I have ever owned and trouble free. Just passed Emissions and Inspection for the 7th year. The inspection mechanic said when you have a good reliable truck you keep it.

I had my D3 7.5 years and only upgraded to a D4 as my D3 was manual and I suffer with sciatica and driving through Switzerland stop starting through the Gothard tunnel was to painful, but my D4 is Amazing Thumbs Up

My 2005 D3 was the same until the torque converter started with the rumbles and I decided to let her go after 13 years, sometimes wish I hadn’t as the MY14 HSE luxury she was replaced with has a lot of the D3 gizmos missing, front camera, cornering lights, driving lights, AUTO HEATER controls and a proper gear lever Big Cry , but otherwise the D4 is a dream machine.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I have only joined land rovers for the first time with my D3 but for me is a D$ just fancy rear lights the nice factory tinted rear windows and the newer 3.0 TDV6, but they do look smart cars and in my judgment better than the odd shaped more aerodynamic D5.

Hope my D3 proves as reliable !

I’m starting to think the D3 V8 is the exception that makes the rule. Whistle

One of the first things I did was I tinted the windows to reduce the greenhouse or aquarium effect. Whistle Thumbs Up
