Front Propshaft (Diff to Transfer Box)

Hi guys/gals
I have a bit of an odd question:
The above item is badly worn on my 2005 (179k) D3, causing vibration which is worse under load/heavy acceleration.
My techy mate has had a look at it and has queried whether its had 'diff wind up'?
(What the Censored is that??)
He also said that the propshaft centre CV joint and front flange joint have quite a lot of play in them too. However the propshaft that joins the front diff to the transfer box is by far the worst offender, with a torn shaft boot at the transfer box end adding to the list of repairs needed!

The greater worry is what is it that has caused that wear?
His thought is that there has been a heavy difference in torsional load between the front and rear diffs? Anyone had anything similar, or any ideas as to what might cause such a differing load?

All thoughts gratefully considered. As is advice on best cause of action (without breaking the bank hopefully?) to rectify the problem.
T.I.A.
Thumbs Up
If it has TIT's or WHEEL's it will cause you problems!! Wink
