Wiring aftermarket DRLs to auto on
Hi Guys,
I have purchased from Hella Supernova 9" spotlights for my baby and they have an integrated DRL LED strip in the center
Now my question is, how would I wire the DRL in to turn on when the car starts? I could take a ignition feed through the firewall but thought if anyone else had done something different?
Any hints? Tips?Disco 4 SDV6 HSE with Compomotives, BFG 265/65R18s, BigCountry drawer system, Melvill & Moon covers, NL 52L fridge, FR Spare Wheel Carrier, FR Roof Rack, Tenco RTT, FR 50" LED Bar, dual spots, Lift Rods, Mantec Snorkel, C-TEK Dual batt system, 270 Ostrichwing, Maxtrax, Icom ID-5100, Icom ID-51 as secondary, IIDtool BT

When I fitted the halo effect DRL's in my fog lamps I picked up a ignition live feed from the fuse box under the bonnet, can't recall which one, but I just used a circuit tester to find it. Used to power up when I started the car and stay on for about 30seconds after I switched off. I used the piggy back type fuse.
Hope that is of some help

Quick question, I have a friend who was stopped last night by the boys in blue as his retro fit DRL's were on along with his headlights.
I've had a read of some threads but can't see this mentioned anywhere or how to wire them up in order for them to switch off or dim when the headlights are on............any pointers?
He was given a ticked to amend the wiring and produce the vehicle for inspection, I think within 30 days?
