Service and now locked out
Guys,
I've had a service today on the old girl and the garage changed the rear number plate bulbs. Picked SWMBO up from work and went shopping. Once back to the motor I couldn't open the tailgate, any ideas from the forum as never had this problem previously.

You need to explain what you mean when you say "couldn't open the tailgate".
Reason is, there's a few things to try that might work, or not, depending on what's gone wrong.
Can you hear the actuator when you press the tailgate button?Mods:

Thanks for the reply,
Would I be correct in saying the upper tailgate is locked when the other doors unlock, I cannot get to the lower tailgate button.
I can't hear the actuator, there is no cluck like the other doors or switch noise from the rear.

Try pressing and holding the lock and unlock buttons on the dash for 5 seconds, see what happens.
Should be unlocked when all other doors unlocked.Mods:

Narpy - tried the 5 second rule and works now, I guess this must be a reset function.

Fault code B1D04
Resurrection of the same fault after a few years.
I've tried the 5 second lock button to no avail, any other things I can try?

You will need to replace the actuator there is a thread already running in the D3 section with a link on how to get the tailgate open.
