I've just enabled the door mirror(s) to dip when reverse gear is selected on a friend's 2008 HSE D3. Only the driver's side works - is this correct or should they both dip? On my D4 both sides dip.

Both should dip , but the amount of dip can be set separately for each side and stored in the seat memory. Check that it hasn't been set to nil dip. Handbook shows the procedure

Have you put it in reverse, then set both mirrors to the desired position, then moved out of reverse and back to check they work? You need to set them both to your desired position, if the passenger side doesn’t move, this is the position the memory want to send it (or not in this case) as that’s the position it’s set to.
I’ve re-read that and it’s not very good England! Does it make sense?

Thank you all for the confirmation. I though it a bit odd that only one dipped. I'll have a play with it later on.
