I have replaced the throttle body and was wondering if adaptations need to be set since the change, I did find on the net a reset procedure for the throttle body on a range rover v8 4.4 (jag engine)
1) Turn car off.
2) Turn key to position 2.
3) Push accelerator to the floor for 5 seconds and release.
4) Turn key to off, wait 2 minutes.
5) Restart car and everything should be good.
would this be resetting the adaptations? any help would be appreciatedD3 4.4 V8 2005 sadly now gone

I would suggest it resets the throttle position sensor rather than the adaptions, its a simalar method as we use on the MGs.==================================
