Hi ,I'm new to this forum
I've just replaced my steering wheel and took the battery off to change the air bag ,all went well and fitted fine but now the battery warning light is on
I checked the battery voltage not running @12.6v
When engine is turned on shows 11.8v !
Checked the alt fuse 5amp and ok
Was all fine before disconnecting and reconnecting
Any ideas
Thanks

Battery voltage too low for checking after startup - should be around 13 to 14.5 volts. You may have shorted something when changing steering wheel. Remove both battery connectors short the connectors out for a few secs (System reset) re connect terminals and see if all is good. Otherwise possible alternator shorted.
