Rear AC pipes - where do they leak?
Can anyone shed light on exactly where the weak area for the rear AC pipes on the D3 HSE is?
Mine still works and if I can help stop it leaking in the future that'd be much preferred to fixing it after it fails!Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

They can corrode anywhere, one common place is at the interface /union at the front left just behind the wheel arch. I have heard of them being replace with High pressure rubber ones as it’s very hard to reroute new metal ones.

The main one seems to be the length behind the pasenger side inner sill.
Two sets of mine both failed within 3 to 4 inches of the joint flanges, just under the first bit of the insualtion lagging.
Sill set easy to change, next set over the axle a right swine.
Once changed they got a good dosing of aerosol chain spray.
