Suspension drop on the front

Hi everyone, new on here so please be gentle with me.

Bought a discovery 3 about 6 months ago. 184k v8.

Loads of issues but the one that confuses me is that the front suspension drops periodically and eaqually. To me this suggests that its's not air loss from the struts? Is it likely to be the air escaping back to the tank or from the front accumilator valve behind the bumper? is there a NRV on the tank side that can fail.

Any help advice would be greatly appreciated.

They drop equally as the computer maintains level even when parked.

You can remove a fuse under the bonnet to stop this for diagnostics overnight

No non return valve.

Yeah probably seals in the valve block behind bumper.

Seals £15 eBay

Thanks Pete.

I'll add the seals to the ever increasing list. Bit of a strange one mind as I had the battery disconnected for a couple of weeks while I did some other stuff. Didn't drop at all for the first week then as the second week progressed it gradually dropped equally both sides? Got it all back together yesterday, this morning all good no drop yet. we'll see.

if its dropping equally with the battery off, then at least it's a good sign 1 strut isn't faulty.

I had similar and found a leak in nearside front air strut, you could hear it as a very gentle hissing.
I think as there is no control over the drop so the other side tried to compensate, renewal of both struts problem solved.

Thanks Guys.

I'll have a good prod around while i'm doing the brakes. Here's hoping for just a seal kit.
