B0028-1 Right Side Air Bag Deployment Control - Help Please.

Good morning.

My car has developed a fault and the air bag warning light comes on very soon after start up.

Checking the codes I get: B0028-1 B/P Permanent - Right Side Air Bag Deployment Control.

The "Permanent" bit is new to today - previously it had always said "Intermittent".

Can anyone shed any light on which airbag in particular it is referring to?? It appears to be in relation to the door being opened and closed so my immediate thought is the wiring to the door but .... I'm unware of any airbags in the door.

If anyone could shed any light or offer any advice it would be gratefully recieved.

Many thanks Smile

Ah - hah!! Just reading my post back and the fact it talks about "Deployment Control".

Could this be the crash sensor in the door rather than an airbag??

Would make sense as I've almost convinced myself it's a damaged wire in the door loom.
