My 2006 Discovery3 is going into limp mode and displays "Engine System Fault" on dash display. The fault code reads P0234 Turbo Overboost. Dealership diagnosed a possible sticking turbo actuator linkage and attempted to free it with a penetrating oil spray.
However, it has occurred again some three days later, same code but reader showed Turbo overboost together with the message "Solenoid A circuit"
I am on my 3rd turbo in 108,00 miles with just 28,000 on the current turbo.
Could this issue relate to a solenoid failure rather than another turbo problem.
Your expertise in identifying the problem would be gratefully appreciated as I really don't want to buy yet another turbo. *Disco3 7-seat Auto
