Alternator question

Right I’ve just rebuilt the compressor after the dryer was damp. Now the battery reads 12v when the engine is started the alternator charges at 14-13.9v is this normal.

What I’m seeing is when the car first starts I have to Rev it a little to produce more power for the compressor otherwise comes up with fault. After a 2 -3 min it’s fine.

It's not normal.
Maybe you have a non Denso alternator ?

Is the battery light remaining on sometimes ?

However if the suspension is in good order and raised, does it give you a problem ?

It could be I don’t know if I’m honest. No light comes on the dash. Suspension works fine now. Put a cheap battery tester on it and it comes up bat ok fault alternator. Tested with multimeter and ticking over got 14v

A charged battery is 12.9v - an alternator charging at 14v is ok. A battery at 12v is quite low.

Initially, ign off, battery voltage should be 12.4 to 12.8. Ign on and engine just started, alternator voltage should be 14.4 to 14.8. So from what your are saying you have a dodgy battery or faulty alternator.

A 12v battery at 12V = 100% empty!

Starting the engine, will deepcycle it...
