So I'm on my back under the car right now, have just removed the under trays to change the oil etc only to find that the fuel filter seems to be behind the massive fuel tank guard and not up the side of the gearbox like the earlier models.
I assume I can unbolt this guard and the fuel tank isn't going to drop down as well?

Theres a removable metal guard on the front of the fuel tank.
You dont drop the filter down it twists and drops a small amount then slides out Andrew

tip: On the side of the filter is a black arrow, this needs to be lined up with the arrow on the filter cap(permanent fixture) to remove and refit. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

20 years of owning British built cars has taught me to assume nothing
I'll have a go again today, I've got the front brakes and tie rods both sides to do as well so I'll have the front on stands as it looks easier with a bit more space.
Cheers all
