Give me a clue what’s it worth….D3 SE Lugano Teal
I have had my sights on a D3 Diesel for a while as an everyday working addition to the others, (she will go mad if I go there) but I knew of a non Member in the area who will be selling, the owner has had it for the last 5 years I went for a look today.
I have seen it a few times but never up close and as on an 07 plate somehow I assumed it was auto, it is a manual which I do not favour but thought it was so good it needs second thoughts.
Far and away better condition interior and bodywork than I expected for 182,000 miles, two kids etc. I know two injectors need replacing but all else looks and sounds good. Not sure on oil pump upgrade…
The question I have for members is how much should I pay given injector issues?

they are complicated bits of kit....if you can do most service stuff yourself ..your in with a chance...if you need to rely on a garage it could become a money pit..you are clearly excited but a rational decision is required,,
see if you can get to a price you are happy with..given the afore mentioned...best of luck.....come join the mad house

The injector issue - how is it that you're sure it need two injectors? What are the symptoms?
My 2005 model had two poor readings on the injector values, but I ended up having to replace all six in the end, to cure some heavy smoking. Cost was about £2000 for that work.
In good serviceable condition I reckon it's worth £3000-4000 so taking away risk on the injectors (and assuming there's nothing much else wrong) then maybe offer about £2000 or so?
The manual gearbox is a very personal thing, the auto is in much higher demand so I would give some thought to that.2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...

Useful commentary, I can hear a low pitch wheezing when running and the chap has no time to do it himself, I have no reason to doubt his openness but would validate.

As an aside I spoke to local engineer he advised ‘you can do just the two but if cash available replace all’D3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)

At 182k I would be concerned about mechanical condition, transmission, suspension etc.
If you do your own maintenance, it may be worth considering. Otherwise, expect some serious garage bills on the horizon.Chris
