Hi ive got a slight rattling noise when letting off the power or when light on the throttle. I have a feeling its the torque converter looking at other posts on here. Are the remanufactured converters any good if so wheres the best place to buy one from.
Many Thanks

Tbh, rattles, sounds, seems bearings, diff or driveshafts to me…
TC you will recognice it most of the time, since shocks are clearly noticeable when the drivetrain is under load /hills / pull up, etc…
I have a recon TC for 3 years now… 40K mls, so far so good..
I presume the quality of the recon is more important than the fact it is a recon by itself.. Best regards
Harold

Its quite normal, mine has been doing it for 7 years.
The noise is more obvious with windows down going past parked cars/walls/fences etc, and happens mainly on a light throttle when you roll off the power.
Save your money, you iwll need it for something else!

^^ As above, many D3 and RRS auto’s from around those years of manufacture do this, and did it from new in fact, and have not got worse, or caused problems, after many years use. Nothing to worry about. Save your money. When it starts making noises like driving over a cattle grid, and the revs keep going up and down excessively when driving at a constant speed, is when you need to worry D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. RRS front lower suspension arms. New suspension compressor/ relay. New Denso alternator. CuNifer rear brake pipes. New GKN rear propshaft. New HPFP belt & tensioner. New A/C Condenser.NO WARRANTY for many many years.
