Is yours hard or soft ?

Seeing no-one answered in the "failing float" thread, I thought this would get your attention Laughing

are the water pipes "hard" when engine is at temperature? I know cars I had in the distant past were, but never had need to test on either D4 and things have moved on since Morris 1300s and Hillman Hunters Laughing
