Super Sikaflex success story |
|
I have a Disco3 and a 4. The D4 was diagnosed with a shot rear prop shaft centre bearing by the main stealer and I was quoted silly money to replace the whole rear shaft. Long story but ended up buying an aftermarket shaft from Advanced Factors and fitting it myself.
Then I think, if the bearing on my D4 is shot, what about my D3 which is 10 years older ? Mmmmm, go and take a look behind the heat shield and find thin air where the rubber should be.
Sikaflex to the rescue ! I repaired the old D4 shaft which was the best of the 2, bought some new bolts and fitted it to the D3. Bob is now my uncle.
Thanks Disco3 Forum for saving me a wad.
