Seatbelt warning light drivers side
Hi all have an issue where my seatbelt warning light comes on when driving whilst wearing the seatbelt. It seems to go out if I lean forwards on the seat I am thinking since there is no pressure sensor in the drivers side it may be the pretensioner ? This issue is also triggering an airbag warning light as well. Any other ideas ?

If no one is sat in the passenger seat, then buckle the passenger belt anyway to see if it stops the light

Hi Peter yeah I have checked this. I have also had the seat out to check the wiring, I am leaning towards the seatbelt pretensioner / buckle unit at the mo but not 100%

Remove the internal plastic trim from around the “B” pillar and check the connector to the seat belt.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Hi Yes checked the connections in the B Pillar, no sign of issues. What I am trying to understand is leaning forwards in the seat makes the seatbelt light go off. Its as if there was a pressure sensor in the seat but I know this is only the case in the passenger side.

Are you wearing the seat belt when this happens?
ISTR reading the service schedule for the D3 a few years back and it stated that all airbags should be changed at 10 years , I don’t know if that meant suspension or safety bags .It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

It’s safety airbags.
That light is nothing to do with airbags though.
It’s the Buckle receiver or wiring

Yes it happens when wearing the seat belt. Ran GAP live values and basically the seat belt buckle sensor seems to be the issue but I guess wiring could also cause the same,
