Front prop shaft removal
Hi All.
I'm trying to remove the front prop shaft from my D3 tdv6 auto. I have all the bolts removed but both ends of the shaft are stuck firm.
Can anyone advise how to free it up without damaging it? I've covered it in WD40 and introduced a 'medium size' hammer but it wont budge. There isn't anything to gain purchase on to lever it out.
The manual says to compress it but I don't see how that's possible.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I squirted WD40 down the bolt holes deep. I'm not sure it helped.
I left 1 bolt in loosly, a couple of turns (at both ends) to prevent it falling on my head.
I then grabbed a chissel and hammer, and hit it very hard. Yes, it left marks. But it came free

If you've got all the bolts, there is nothing else holding it but friction. It fits a diameter IIRC. Bit more persuasion with a hammer and wooden drift?Richard

Thank you both. Good idea squirting WD40 down the bolt holes and leaving a bolt in each end.
Ok, bigger hammer and more WD40 it is then...
