Mismatched roof trim - most sensible fix
In heavy rain depending on the angle it's parked I get a damp a pilar trim. I've just replaced the clips for the plastic outer trims as one came lose and have re sealed over the redundant holes but they aren't the culprit. Parked nose up as I usually do it's fine.
I've just noticed that I have different roof mouldings on either side and no shock the side with holes is the side with the issue.
Do I try and get a trim somewhere or would a set of roof rails replace the mouldings anyway?

It gets to the solution 1/2 way down the second page when I realised how the water was getting in.
It appears a few people are now discovering this issue with their D3s, and it could be what's going on with yours.Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

I've got some aquarium sealant so will have a go with that thanks, no harm in doing it to both sides. The carpets are never wet or anything like that but whilst it's not alot I'd rather it was not at all obviously.
Would the trim with holes in be for a full length roof rack and the one without the standard option? I don't 'need' roof bars but I would quite like a set of the full length ones.

Just in case anyone sees this in future the it was indeed the a pillar clips, one of the new ones hadn't seated properly. Easy and fairly cheap fix for a nice dry disco.
