Hi there all, hope everyone is doing well!
My 2008 discovery 3 left me stranded by the side of the road yesterday. About 7 weeks ago I bought a replacement pump from LR trade parts on eBay, fitted it and it's died already. Serves me right for buying a cheap unit I suppose. Still didn't expect it to die so quickly.
Anyway, onto the reason for this thread. The original walbro number is GSS 503 04. I can't find anything from any stockist or on the internet in terms of getting hold of one. Is there any way I can get a genuine walbro replacement unit rather than a whole sender unit? Or a good quality "copy". A for cost and b for less waste throwing away the whole sender unit.
Is there another pump that's put in another make/model of car that is a drop in replacement or maybe something that might require a little bit of modding but will fit?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks!

honestly buy a good full pump module. I tried just a pump, lasted a month, then a cheap pattern part, lasted about 3 months, then an "expensive one" which has been in there 3 plus years. I would have saved money and many hours of messing about if i just bought a good one to begin with. Make sure you also change the fuel filter, again for a genuine one. They run so much better with the right bits fitted

There is one sold by Citreon that works, do a search on the board.
