Can someone runnng 265/65-18 BFG ATs post up a picture of your truck? I just want to see if they look balanced. I dont want a bunch of rubber under my wheel wells with out any room for articulation.

Also, does the 265/65-18 fit underneath as a spare (obviously on a full size rim)?

18 in BFG's

OK I'll take some pix and post. They will not fit in the (original) spare wheel well - but that's for the long range tank and the spare lives on the wheel carrieer (much better idea anyway). Now done about 25,000Km's and aabsolutely no issues other than mentioned in my previous post.
Cheers,
Martin

How much extra space would be need to fit one underneath do you reckon ?

Or say, would a deflated one fit for exemple ? - I really dont fancy putting wheel on the roof, or a roof rack for that matter.

thanks, look forward to see the pics

cheers

BFG's on 2008 D3

A few pix from recent trip uploaded to my Gallery. They don't really show clearances, but will give you a bit of an idea.

Regarding spare placement, to be honest I never even considered fitting the spare in its usual space, so I really can't comment about clearance. I would doubt that it would fit, even deflated. The rear wheel carrier is a nice option, easy to use, and quite light weight. I deliberately just went for the 'arm' approach as opposed to the Kaymar full bumper replacement as I was keen to keep weight down as much as possible.

Cheers,
Martin

they dont look so much bigger : good ! (one inch, I reckon)

would you mind measuring the actual overall diameter of the wheel (as theorical and actuall age sometime different)

Merci beaucoup !
