What Colour ! WHITE
i am new on here !
I have leapt the gap from the DEFENDER forum ! basically i,m looking at a used DISCO 3, and i think i have found one ? its an 05 and it is white !
The thing is i have never knowingly seen another White DISO 3 ! and i quite like it ! now i know the Dubai market an surrounding states love their White cars and for obvious reasons ! but did they do a White one over here ! for the eoropean market !
i know the Police had white ! and maybe some others but i,m not sure about the authenticity of colours !
Please Help !

Hello Chalky and welcome
White is becoming more popular these days even in the Uk ....and I have to say that the 2009MY D3 in Alaska White, with body coloured arches, door and boot handle trim is absolutely stunning 8)
If you want to get hold of a 2005MY then go for it ...white is the new black 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
......with the handle of Chalky you have to ask here about a white Disco !
Some cars look good in White...especially if it's the off white creamy colour & the vehicle has some chrome...Rover 75s, Jags etc fall into this category....
Depends really what you do with it:
if you are a detailing type of owner...they are a Begger to keep clean
If you use country roads or use it off road it really is going to show everything
also consider re sale....white cars being a bit rare may be difficult to sell on except by taking less moneyBREXIT - done properly.

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Well BL i'm selling my white d3 and I've seen no adjustment (either way) for a White D3 HSE
Currently Silver is deemed to comon (not getting in that debate) however each colour has its fanbase its just a case of matching seller to buyer
IMHO White works for a D3 not all will agree but then thats life (lesser debates have started wars thou)

Seen very few white ones here in SA as well . So there probably will be an issue with resale value . Didn't like it in white at first , but it isgrowing on me (so do warts I spose) . Looks much better if you have the black strips on the doors

btw Ken/Slimer at al .... wasn't slating white, i reckon it is the best colour on a D3.
It contrasts so well with the black trim.
It's the new body coloured models which i think looks naff!!!I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

ronp I saw a new 09MY in white yesterday and believe me it's the absolute mutts 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Ron, I was of the same opinion but having now seen most colours in 09MY guise in the flesh my view has changed, apart from Silver (which just doesn't look right) the others I've seen look good with the new body coloured parts, Alaska White looks bloody stunning The End

Well then, I'll reserve my judgement.
But not convinced it would look ok kitted for off road .....
rai, side mouldings, black wheels, A frame etc.
Think Kens looks the nuts especially when he had the A frame coupled with the black bonnet decal.
I might take a lot of convincing!!I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

I was a bit sceptical of white, until I picked up some tyres from Ken and saw his one. The colour does suit the car and I doubt it will show the scratches etc as much as a dark colour so probably good for off road as well. In my opinion the black wheel arches and trim make it look even better and contrast well with the rest of the car. Also think that privacy glass on a white D3 looks good.
Whatever colour you get you will not be disappointed, the D3 is a great car whatever you use it for. That's not a biased view, I normally only keep cars for 12 months and never replace with the same car, but I am keeping the D3 and if I had to change it would be for another D3 (with more toys on)
Well BL i'm selling my white d3 and I've seen no adjustment
the couple of cars I have had that were white....one a BM The other a Volvo were both marked down at trade in 'cos they were white....cost me quite a lot...BREXIT - done properly.

I think White is coming back. About 7 years ago it was said that White is no color. But I see more white cars on the street even RR's and RRS. and they look good. I had to get used to that too but they look good.
Not as good as Sandglow or Tangier Orange but that's an other discussion.Roel

white does seem to be "in vougue", go pick up a car magazine, all the new audi cars are always in white etc, the new M5 review I saw the other day as well, its currently "cool", if it ill be in another few years of course is another matter, but if you are coming from a Defender to a 05 D3, I am guessing you are playing for keeps, not just for short term.
